Amílcar Bernardo Tomé da Silva, of Angolan nationality, was born on September 05, 1973 in Uíge, Angola. He has degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the Agostinho Neto University, Master and Ph.D in Phisiology from Graduate Program in Physiological Sciences at the Health Sciences Center of the Federal University of Espírito Santo Brazil, was head of the Department of Physiological Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine of the Agostinho Neto University (2011 – 2013).

Has some teaching experience as a teacher in Secundary Education Health Institute, Faculty of Medicine of Agostinho Neto University, Jean Piaget University of Angola, Postgraduate Course in Public Health at the Catholic University of Angola.

Currently in the category of Auxiliar Professor he is a Professor/Researcher in Physiology/Pathophysiology cardiovascular, renal, metabolic, respiratory and reproductive, integrated in the UDI-Africa project through a partnership with the Agostinho Neto University, sponsored by the European Union, member of the LusoAfro-Bioethics Project – Strengthening Bioethics Committees in Lusophone African Region, by the Faculty of Medicine of Agostinho Neto University, a project that is part of the EDCTP2 program supported by the European Union.

Has some scientific publications in the field of cardiovascular, renal and metabolic physiology and pathophysiology.
