Work Packages

Work Package 1: Identification of specific needs & optimization of partnership work plan

This Work Package will focus on the preparation of the work plan, identification of specific needs from target institutions and groups, and optimisation of work plan based on the specific needs and expertise of participating institutions and all parties involved. In order to identify the specific needs of RECs members and determine the specific training focuses and approaches, the first preparation meeting will be held in Lisbon with the participation of CNBS and focal point members from each institution. Brainstorming and a survey based in a self-assessment tool already developed and tested for other African RECs will be used in order to provide more in-depth information about RECs particular needs. A self-administered survey will be developed in other to assess training needs to both RECs members and health researchers in general. The second preparation meeting will be held in Maputo with the participation of CNBS and IHMT and input from all other partners via skype or teleconference.

Work Package 3: Dissemination, exploitation and communication

The third Work Package will be developed during the whole project life. It will go hand in hand with the project activities. The main activities to be developed are: the project website, printed & online dissemination and promotion material (leaflets, brochures etc.), reports and publications, a testimonial video, a final event and participation and presenting the project activities or results at various events.

The website will be a very important channel of dissemination that will be constantly updated with material and information about the project. Each partner will have at its own Institutional website & newsletter a reference to the project website to give a high visibility to the project.

Social media and social networks will also be used to disseminate the project and to reach an unlimited number of people and keep them informed and updated about the project implementation or results. The use of social media is a strategy to make everyone constantly involved and informed about the project (researchers, students, members of RECs, etc.). In addition, a testimonial video with interviews of representatives of RECs will be produced in which they will be the real Project Testimonials, telling their experience during these training and networking periods, in particular explaining what they have learnt, reflected and how this could have an impact on their institutions. The open access to some online Modules will ensure a very wide exploitation of the project, demonstrating and applying quickly and widely all over the world the project results. This will increase the project networks. It can also create new forms of collaboration among the partners.

Work Package 4: Workshops, face-to-face training

The forth Work Package will focus on the development of training workshops. The training workshops will be face-to-face and targeted only for RECs members. The workshops will emphasis on the following relevant themes:
